RAYMOND GLENN Obituary

Raymond Dwain Glenn, 71, of Blue Springs, left us unexpectedly January 11, 2015. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by service celebrating Rays life at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Park Lawn Chapel, Hillcrest Road, 83rd Street, Kansas City, MO 64138. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Boy Scouts of America. Ray was born Jan. 13, 1943, in Browning, MO, the middle of three sons of Raymond A. and Eva (Morrow) Glenn. Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Jim. Ray worked 38 years for Dirty Don's in Raytown. He was a member of the Orient Masonic Lodge, was very active in Scouting, and an Honorary Warrior of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Survivors include wife of 49-plus years, Susan; sons, Dwain Glenn and Michael Glenn (Laurie); grandchildren, Katie, Alex and Emily; brother, Don Glenn; and other family members including two nieces and their families. So sorry for your loss. Ray was always one of my favorite people and was part of what made my Scouting experience fun. He will forever be associated with my memories of Boy Scouts. Please give my condolences to Dwain & Mike who I knew very well growing up. There is a special bond from being in Troop 285 together and I still think about those 8 years of my life with fond memories.
