RICHARD MARTIN Obituary

Richard D. Martin, 57, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at his home after a sudden illness. Richard is the son of Bonnie R. Martin of East Liverpool, Ohio, and the late Richard C. Martin. He was born on Dec. 25, 1952, in East Liverpool, graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1971 and attended Kent State University. He had been employed by Harley Davidson in Kansas City as a Quality Auditor. He had been member in the Harley's Owners Group (HOG), the All Harley Drag Racing Association, enjoyed doing mechanical work, especially on Harleys, and collected and enjoyed working with model trains. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cindy (Demetre) Martin, two sons, Richard E. Martin and Brian J. Martin, all of Kansas City, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins in Ohio. Memorial Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at the Norton Heights Community of Christ Church, 436 S. Norton Ave., Kansas City, with Pastor Janet Dillenger officiating. Burial was in East Liverpool. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Friends may view this obituary, sign the guest book, or send condolences online at www.altmeyer.com

I knew Richard from the plant, one great guy, a old biker just doing the grind. sorry that i just heard of his passing, Cindy, all my condolence and love. Richard fast and hard and keep it clean. your brother Fatbob

Richard
You were the last of the '52 babies. Doesn't seem right you were one of the first to go. Your kindness and friendship meant more than words can say. You will be deeply missed. People say you are now in a better place. But truth be told, we liked it better when you were here.
