Ricky Wayne West

Ricky Wayne West, 51, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO. 64119. Entombment in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Chapel. Memorial tributes to his memory may be given to either the Northcare Hospice, 2900 Clay Edwards Dr., North Kansas City, MO., 64119 or Glenwood Park United Methodist Church 10000 E. 23rd South, Independence, MO 64052. Ricky was born on March 28, 1954 in Maryville, MO., to Truman and Madeline (Fine) West. He was united in marriage to Candice Wymore in a ceremony at the Maryville Church of Christ on January 12, 1974. Ricky had worked as an agent for the Internal Revenue service in Kansas City for 25 years before his retirement in December 2004. Ricky had served in the Army National Guard from 1972-1992 and had attained the rank of SGT 1st Class. He was a member of the Glenwood Park United Methodist Church in Independence. He had served as the Vice President of certified Fraud Examiners, Kansas City Chapter. He was an Eagle Scout and was a member of the Kansas City Chapter 191 Coachment Campers Club. He was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include his wife of 31-years, Candice West of the home. A daughter and son-in-law; Miranda Wimberley and husband Jason of Kansas City, MO. Two brothers, Dean West of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Gerald West of Shreveport, Louisiana. A sister, Sharon Robinson of Savannah, MO; his grandchildren, Cole and Madeline. (Arr. D.W.
