Robert "Bob" Burdick
January 25, 1943 - November 15, 2021
Prairie Village, Kansas - Bob passed away surrounded by loving family at KUMC. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio, and graduated from Lakewood HS, earned a BS at Northwestern Univ. and an MBA at Indiana Univ. In 1980 he began working for Yellow Freight where he retired as a Sr. Vice President.
Bob loved music and singing in choirs from high school to churches through adulthood. He especially found pleasure singing in the Village Presbyterian Church Choir and the Heart of America Barbershop Chorus. After retirement Bob could be seen often in his natural habitat at Indian Hills Country Club golf course. A true sports aficionado, Bob enjoyed watching all sports – Royals and Chiefs, college football and basketball, golf and tennis. Bob and Sandy were involved members of Village Church and volunteered at the food pantry together since it opened.
Bob is survived by Sandra "Sandy" Rodgers Burdick, his wife of 38 years, his daughters Kathy (Sean) Griffin, Karen (Dan) Root and Laura (Tony) Southard as well as his grandchildren Madeline, Emma, Kyle, Annie and Rowan and other family members. His legacy will be that of a kind and loving husband, father, Grandad, and friend.

Bob Burdick, great friend, wonderful human being, fabulous husband, great father, grandfather, proud to call him my Partner in planning Barbershop Conventions, and huge fundraising through the Caroling Caravans for the Greater Kansas City Salvation Army. Perhaps the most intelligent human being I have ever known. He will be missed by all who were able to call him "FRIEND". He will remain in my memory forever, and his many contributions to my life will never be forgotten.

Bob hired me for a very tough assignment. He had faith in me which I have never forgotten. I am truly grateful and blessed for knowing him. May his beloved family be blessed in peace knowing he is now in a very good place.
