ROBERT WAYNE "BOB" CUNNINGHAM Wayne Cunningham, 85, of Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 with his family at his side. He was born October 20, 1929 in High Togie Township, IL, son of Raleigh and Eva Cunningham. He attended Greenville College in Greenville, IL and joined the US Air Force in 1948 and served four years during the Korean Conflict. On November 14, 1955 he married Donna Isbell and they have enjoyed 59 years of marriage. In 1956, Wayne began a career working in accounting at Standard Oil Company in St. Louis, MO. He was transferred to the KC Office which later became known as Amoco Oil and he retired after 32 years of service. Wayne loved his family most of all. He had an artistic talent which included music, painting portraits and wood carving. He especially enjoyed snapping photos at family gatherings. He will be dearly missed for his compassion for others, his quick wit and his loving hugs. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and his four siblings. He is survived by his wife, Donna of the home, three children, daughter Becky (Hank) Waggoner, Chanute, KS, Todd Cunningham, Overland Park, KS, and Tricia (Randy) Slater, KC, KS, five grandchildren, Kristina (Kyle) Adams, Hutchinson, KS, Brian (Michelle) Waggoner, Topeka, KS, Kaitlyn Slater, Roeland Park, KS, Melissa Slater, KCKS, and Megan Slater, KCKS; and six great- grandchildren. A private family memorial service will be held at the home on Friday, January 23, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given to Heartland Hospice, 4601 College Boulevard, #160, Leawood, KS 66211 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
