Robert Scott Obituary

1932 - 2006 Robert Seth Scott, 74, died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the Cameron, Missouri Hospital. Mr. Scott was born March 27, 1932 to George Leonard and Flossie Leona (Palmitier) Scott at Omaha, Nebraska. He was a former resident of Union Star, Oak Grove, Edwards and Blue Springs, Missouri. He was a retired Master Sergeant having served 22 years in the United States Air Force. After the service he worked for Standard Oil in North Kansas City and Pepsi Cola for 10 years as a maintenance supervisor in Kansas City, Kansas in the Fairfax district. Mr. Scott served as a deacon at the Countryside Baptist Church in Blue Springs, Missouri which he helped establish. He also served as a deacon at the First Baptist Churches in Climax Springs and Cross Timbers in Missouri and was a member of the First Baptist Church at Union Star where he served on the ordination council. On August 8, 1959, he married Helen Catherine Zagorac at Stoutland, Missouri and she survives of the home in Cameron. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, William. In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by three sons: Gerald Lee Scott & wife Lorie, Maysville, Phillip W. Scott, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Anthony Todd Scott & wife Ruth, Lenexa, Kansas; one daughter: Shirley Ann Scott, Hudson, New York; two brothers: Leslie Scott, Omaha, Nebraska and Richard Scott, Cahokia, Illinois; four sisters: Georgia Guffey, Stella Campbell and Mary Mulligan, all of Omaha, Nebraska and Mildred Glynn, Moline, Illinois and six grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Scott will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Maysville with burial at 2:30 p.m. in the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to the Maysville First Baptist Church Youth Program, Disabled American Veterans or the Hospitalized Veterans c/o Bram Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Maysville, Missouri 64469.
