Robin Seidlitz Obituary

Robin Shackelford Seidlitz
April 8, 1946 - January 31, 2022
Fairway, Kansas - We are shocked and heartbroken to share the death of Robin Shackelford Seidlitz, who passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 31, 2022, with her family by her side.
Born April 8, 1946, Robin was the daughter of Barbara Shackelford Seidlitz and Charles Newman "Pete" Seidlitz, Jr. She is survived by her children, Christina Drummond McVeigh and Joseph Kirke Gregg (Katherine); her grandson, Charles Joseph Gregg; her siblings, Charles Newman "Pete" Seidlitz, III (Anne) and Lauri Marie Davis; and her nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Seidlitz Martini, Ashley Akin Seidlitz, Katharine Marie Welborn, Timothy Lee Harrington, and Raymond Paul Au.
Robin graduated from Sunset Hill school and attended Connecticut college. She loved to travel, and spent a decade abroad riding camels in Egypt, climbing ancient ruins in Scotland, and pouring over maps and history books.
Robin was a devout Catholic and a true philanthropist. Her generosity and kindness were matched only by her quick wit and impeccable fashion sense. She was profoundly intelligent, educated, funny, and artistic. As she would say, she was "a real kick in the pants!"
She poured her energies into Theology, art, decorating, fashion, and spoiling all of her dogs. She truly had her own unique flair that was unequivocally and unapologetically, Robin. Her family and friends will miss her immensely.
Please join us for a memorial service, in the Spring, to celebrate Robin's life. Please check our website, https://www.clarkeandsonsofkc.com/, periodically, as service details are currently pending.
We also invite you to write a note in the website guestbook. Please follow the website for service updates, including COVID protocol, and to find the link to view the service virtually.
We would like to remind everyone to consider those with weakened immune systems, and encourage virtual attendance, for those folks who are a potential risk.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, and as Robin would say, "Do put on your Sunday best and come to service".

I am glad my friend is at peace but I miss her presence- she was a dear friend and great fun. Love to Christina.

When I think of my Robin, I think about her smile, her laughter, her breaking into obnoxious song and dance, when I ask for the day of the week, and countless ridiculous but hilarious inside jokes. I will miss you so much Robin, our fights, our talks and our jokes. I love you and I will miss you terribly.
