Dear Hardy Family
I am a parent of one of the students he taught this last year at maple park and I so thrilled my child was being taught by him I thanked him on the last day of school for taking the time to teach my daughter and I was expecially glad when we took a field trip to Lawerence to see KU I got the moment to speak with him at lunch on the field trip and at the book store and he was passionate about showing the kids what college life is all about and I got to know how much he loved His Jack Russell Terriers and what they ment to him. He was a great teacher that we lost way to soon. He will be greatly missed in the North Kansas City School District.Maple Park middle school you had a gem of a man Top quality teacher who knew History and wanted 7th graders to know where we has a nation was and where we are going now. I am thrilled I got to know him this past year and wish I had more time to have gotten to know him better Love You Mr.Hardy God's Speed Kim

I had the honor of working with Scott at the school district. I saw how he helped his students through tough situations by sharing his own experiences and trying times. He was a wonderful educator, mentor and person. He will be sorely missed but his legacy will live through the dozens of students' lives that he touched.

My Dear Friend, Scott--
I will always remember you for being a kind and loyal friend and mentor. Thank you for welcoming me, spending plan time with me, and extending your hand in sincere friendship. More importantly, though, you are a fantastic teacher. Your students know that you genuinely care for them and want nothing but the best for them. While I will always miss you, I hope that you have found peace!

I feel rather strange right now. I met and talked with Scott on several occasions at various social studies meetings throughout the years. (I taught at New Mark.) I only learned today, June 10, that Scott was my second cousin once removed. (Genealogy is a hobby of mine; that's why I feel so strange. I never made the family connection.)
As I knew him, he was a nice person and a dedicated teacher. My sympathy goes out to his family. I know he will be greatly missed.

I have one regret, and that is I didn't know Scott too much outside of the school setting. We frequently met each other at the door upon entering and leaving our building, or passed each other in the hall. We always had a brief conservation no matter how hectic the day or time. Those talks meant alot to me, and I looked foward too them every single day. I will definitely cherish those brief moments we shared for the rest of my life. Also my son and wife are going to miss those moments when they would venture to school , and you would greet them in the hall. You always made a point to chat with them. Thanks for being there for me and my family.

Scott you will be missed.

First I want to say I am deeply sorry. Mr. Hardy was a great man and very helpfull! He was my teacher last year and I know that we didnt make it easy on him. He always had a smile on his face and always, no matter what, asked us how we were doing that morning. I really appriciated all of his help! I am so sorry and I will be thinking of you. With love,

Scott and I were co-workers at Antioch for many years and I would see him at Maple Park when substitute teaching there. We shared the same birthday and always congratulated one another on that day. I pray he rests peacefully in eternity.
