Stanly C. Widau

September 29, 1946 - June 13, 2024

Lake Waukomis, Missouri - Stanly Charles Widau passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital. Stan was born September 29, 1946, in Sabetha, Nebraska to Georgia Ruth Montgomery and Fred Henry Widau.

He graduated from Grandview High School and Kansas State University. Beginning his Air Force career in the Vietnam era, Major Widau flew large cargo planes all over the globe. After retirement, he was a commercial pilot for TWA and American Airlines. Stan was proud to have set foot on all seven continents in his lifetime.

His parents and sister, Linda Aubrey, preceded him in death. He leaves his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Shannon Widau, daughters, Laura Szostak (Johnny) and Stephanie Larkin (Brian), and three grandchildren, Dominique, Zachary, and Sabrina Szostak.

A private Committal Service will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements made by Meyers Funeral Chapel, Parkville.
