Steven Grimes

Steven Grimes, 51, of Olathe, KS, passed away July 21, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. He was born December 17, 1955 in Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Gisela Grimes. Steven is survived by his twin sister, Leslie Grimes and older sister Dale Noll, both of Olathe, and his older brothers Paul Grimes of Shawnee, and Karl Grimes of Olympia, WA. He is also survived by his stepmom Billie Grimes of Mission, stepbrother, John Robertson of Gladstone, and stepsister, Linda Barker of Blue Springs. During his lifetime he worked for many large companies including his last employer, Standard Motor Products, where he worked as a machine operator for 14 years holding a perfect attendance record, never missing a day of work. He had a fascination for computers and adored his two cats. Services will be held at the Amos Funeral Home in Shawnee. KS. Visitation will be Wednesday July 25, from 10-12 Noon with a service following the visitation at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial will take place at the Louisburg Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to The American Cancer Society in Steven's name.
