Susan Smith Obituary

Susan Margaret Smith

July 4, 1944 - June 15, 2024

Kansas City, Missouri - Susan Margaret Smith, 79, of Kansas City, Missouri died (she expressly directed that we not sugarcoat this word with gentle euphemisms such as "passed away" or "departed this earth." As she said, "tell people I died." Period.) in the early morning hours of June 15, 2024. Susan was born in Oxford, England on July 4th, 1944 to Edna Muriel (Titcomb) and Basil Walter Paice.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband Michael Kellerman and her Step-daughter Michelle. She is survived by her son Geoff (Dawn), and stepchildren Siobhan (Dave), Michael (Paula) and Sean (Kari); her grandchildren Zariah, Inara, James (Kathy), Nick, Grace, Gabby, Terrance, and Giorgia; her family in England including her beloved sister Janet Chambers and Brother-in-Law Peter Chambers, her nephews Philip (Rachael), and Martin; and Janet's four grandchildren, Jack, Archie, Mica and Jacob.

Susan Margaret Smith will be missed by many, but she was way too pragmatic to want anyone to waste too much time on grief. As she said many times, she'd lived a good life, she was happy with it. Now get back to work.
