Kansas City, Missouri - Thomas "Tom" F. Fontana passed away Feb. 17, 2021, at the age of 72. Tom was born Feb. 22, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri to Frank and Margaret (Scimeca) Fontana and lived there his entire life. Tom enjoyed a career as a broadcast engineer that spanned four decades, during which time he worked at KMBA-TV, KSHB-TV, and KMBC-TV.
In keeping with Tom's loving and giving spirit, it was his decision to donate life so others may live it. Tom's final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Edwina (Bringe) Fontana; his sons, Michael (Violet) and Paul; his daughter, Elizabeth (Scott); step-daughters Erica (Andrew) and Tiffany; granddaughters Rebecca and Lauren; and step-grandchildren Brayden, Jalen, Emersen, Carson, Madysen, and Alivia; his brother, Phillip (Alexandra); and nephew Alexander.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel located at 1640 North RT 291, Liberty, MO 64068. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM, Service from 11:00-11:30 AM with the Burial to follow at White Chapel Cemetery located at 6600 NE Antioch Road, Kansas City, MO 64119.

I am so sorry to hear about Tom´s passing. My dad Frank Fontana was in his Mom and Dad´s wedding. I took my dad to their Anniversary party and met many members of this wonderful family. I am so sorry for your loss.
