Virginia R. Colgan

Virginia R. Colgan, 83, Prairie Village, KS, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at Brighton Gardens. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Friends may call 10:30-11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Stroke Foundation, 8700 Lamar, Overland Park, KS 66207, or the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland, 7808 Foster, Overland Park, KS 66204. Virginia was born and grew up in Marshall, MO. She was an Artist. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and was a founding member of the Heart of America Chapter of Society of Decorative Painters. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell, and five brothers, Herbert, Warren, Buddy, Kenneth and Paul Lindsey. She is survived by two sons, David L. Colgan and his wife, Suzanne, Irvine, CA, and Michael L. Colgan and his wife, Gerri, Wichita, KS; brother, Lloyd Lindsey, El Dorado Springs, MO; and three grandchildren, Ryan Colgan, Ben Colgan and Hilary Colgan. (Arrangements: D.W.
