To Ruthie, Ward's family and friends from John
"Raz" Rasnic. I am sorry I was not able to
attend the service. My prayers to you in our loss.
Ward was my partner and a friend. He always had
the customers' interests at heart. Both Dennis
Brunner and I will miss his humour, friendship
and concerns. I remember first meeting Ward in
the early 80's when he was at Pizza Hut and I was
at M&D. Later, I meet him and his then
partner, Lonnie Braden, at Health One in
Minneapolis. After that Ward and I crossed paths
culminating in the Black & Veatch project in 1990
(Kansas City). Later Ward joined with Grace
Consulting where I came on board in 1993 to start
the support consulting business with Ward. In
2001, Ward, Dennis and I formed LSG. If anyone
would like to share additional Ward memories, call
me at 630-854-4290.

I was sorry to hear of Ward's passing. Ward and I go as far back as Mr Kiser's class in the fifth grade and of course at West. We were in Boy Scouts together. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the family. Regretably, I cannot attend the service due to my recent eye surgery.

I am deeply saddened with the passing of Ward. My first memories of Ward were of a young man about to marry Ruth with his sweet daughter Kelly. As my time passed Ward and I became not only business associates at Pizza Hut but Friends.
It seems only yesterday that Ward and I were approached by Rick Reynolds with the idea to start a consulting firm. Do to our youth and frustration with the system Braden & Patrick Consulting was born. Our first client saw Ward as the first on site Consultant and he only referred to me as his Pard not Business Partner or Associate but Pard. When I arrived a week later the Client admitted that they did not know my name only I was Pard. The nickname stuck and Ward rarely would ever call me Lonnie again. Braden and Patrick grew and Ward was able to join me full time. We were so big time we offered Health Insurance at no charge.
Ward was more than supportive when my first daughter was born extremely premature. It was Ward who shouldered more than his share of the business activity during her first five months of life. Wanda, Ruth and Jennifer became close as we grew the business and took on new clients. We still had time for fun and relaxation; I still remember getting Ward out in the Garden in Lisle, Illinois. The annual BPC garden what an experience that was, and Ruth learned how to operate our canner. Of course the annual business trip to the User Conference to hold clients hands was a traditional event. Each Christmas I will never forget the Annual packing the Patrick automobile for the trip to Virginia. Who ever knew so many items could be put in the Oldsmobile. I will always remember the year Pat, Audrey, Ward, Ruth, Wanda, and I sang Christmas Carols around the Piano in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
As all good things must come to an end, I remember the hardest day we had as partners. That was the day I told Ward it was time for us to split and take on new directions. This was very trying for both of us and I not sure if Ward really ever forgave me for my actions. It was time for me to say Good Bye as a Business Partner but not as a friend.
It was a true Joy to be a small part of Wards life. While we may have parted ways in business Ward remained a friend. Ward is and will always be the Best Friend that I have ever had. May your family be comforted and may you rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ward's passing. I knew him for a very long time although after high school I only saw him at a few high school reunions. We were both very active in church activities at St. Marks, Sunday school, church and MYF. Ward was a very kind and considerate person. My prayers are with you.

Ruthie,
My prayers and love are with you. I am in Canada on business this week and won’t be able to attend the funeral. Please know I will be thinking about you and Kelley during this difficult time. I have so many fun memories of us at Pizza Hut and in San Francisco. God be with you and comfort you.
