WILLIAM JENNINGS BOSWELL Jr.

William (Bill) Jennings Boswell, Jr., 84, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. Visitation will be Sat., Nov. 17, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Langsford Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 12 p.m. at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, MO. Bill was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Corder, MO. He was the son of William J. Boswell, Sr., and Mildred Ozene (Rogge) Boswell. He owned and operated Boswell's Bookkeeping and Tax Service for over 50 years and also held the position of Treasurer for the Raytown Fire Department. He was a member of Blue Ridge Methodist Church and a member of the Lions Club. Bill graduated from Raytown High School in 1945 and was class Valedictorian. He also graduated in 1950 from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Bill was preceded in death by Nancy Lee (Shryock) Boswell, his wife of 58 years. He is survived by seven children: Jennifer Lee Enloe, Nancy Jane Crutcher, Natalie Kay Key, Carol Ann Miles, Linda Joan Hicks, Sue Yvonne Swim and Alan Jennings Boswell, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
