Jacob Patrick Dalicandro
Born: April 30, 1998
Died: March 25, 2021
Jacob Patrick Dalicandro, 22, of Batavia passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021. He was born April 30, 1998 in Geneva, IL the son of David Dalicandro and Sarah (Scroggins) Richard.
He is survived by his parents, David Dalicandro and Sarah Richard; his brother Alex Richard; his maternal grandmother Bonnie; his paternal grandparents Jan and Ron Dalicandro; three uncles Jason (Amy) Scroggins, Kevin (Tracey) Scroggins; Matthew (Carrie) Dalicandro; two aunts Tracey (Adam) Carlson and Sarah Dalicandro; and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather Patrick Scroggins.
Jacob was loved by so many for his kind heart and giving nature. He had a wonderful sense of humor and his smile would light up a room. Jacob was very intelligent and would research his interests until he knew everything there was to know about the subject. He educated us all about meteorology, trains, and the White Sox as a little boy.
Jacob loved nature, the outdoors and wildlife. He enjoyed hiking to lift his spirits, find peace of mind and commune with nature. Jacob had many goals he wanted to achieve, and he was very ambitious. He shared a mutual love with his little brother who was 17 years his junior.
Jacob fought adversity and met many wonderful friends and mentors on his journey to living a healthier life. We would all hope that his sudden and unexpected passing will perhaps save the life of someone with similar struggles.
Visitation will be held 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Avenue Batavia, IL. Due to the COVD-19 occupancy regulations the memorial service will be held private.

My deepest sympathy and condolences on the loss of Jacob. Appreciate the tribute that was written and in the brief time I knew and shared time with him, he spoke with deep cares for Mom, Dad, Grandmother and his favorite little brother, Alex. Always was beyond excited that week he was going to see you all; that was just naturally Jacob, along with his sense of humor and imagination. He will be missed by all those lives he touched as he stood out in a crowd with his infectious smile and kindness. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life, Jacob, and rest in peace until we meet again. Prayers for comfort, strength and healing to all his Family, friends and others' lives Jacob touched. Love ya kid and miss you already.
