Michael Huff Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, with Monsignor John J. McSweeney celebrant, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, N.C. Interment will be private.
Mr. Huff was born June 10, 1965, in Cortland, N.Y., the son of Charlane Yost Huff and the late Hugh James Huff. Michael was a manager with G & K services and a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was a huge Yankees and Steelers fan. Above all Michael was a dedicated family man to his beloved wife and precious children. He loved coaching his children in basketball and softball and spending as much time as possible with his family.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Meredith Reynolds Huff of the home; his children, Jeffrey of Allentown, Pa., and Caitlin and Ashley, both of the home; his mother, Charlane Yost Huff, of Sanford, N.C.; his grandmother, Mae Yost of Sanford, N.C.; his brother, Brian Huff of St. Charles; and also by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the Michael J. Huff memorial fund for Caitlin and Ashley in the name of Meredith Huff. Contributions can be sent to SunTrust Bank, 9836 Rea Road, Charlotte, NC 28277 or to the Leukemia Foundation of America, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072 Pittsfield, MA 01202.
Arrangements for the family are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel. An online guest book is available at www.heritagefuneral.net.

Mike was a good partner at G&K. I had the privlage of working with Mike on a large project involving the Dockers product. It was clear quickly why he was such a good leader. I know he will be missed by many in his personal life, the loss also extends to the people who had a chance to work with him in his business life.

Huff Family, I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Mike was a great friend to me and to so many others. His passion and enthusiam for life was second to none. We only met Mike a few months ago when our daughter, Haylee was drafted onto his Basketball team for the winter season. I always enjoyed watching him coach the girls during practice and cheering them on in the games. Win or loose, he always praised them on how they played. We could tell his heart and energy was devoted to the girls being the best they could be all while having fun. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and all that loved him. He will be missed. Mike was my son Corey's first ever baseball coach (tee ball)... and a great coach he was. I'll be thinking of him today when I go watch my son play for his 9th grade team ... thanks, Mike! My prayers are with the entire Huff family.
