Died: February 15, 2026 in Geneva, IL
Michael J. Severson of Geneva, Illinois, passed away surrounded by love. A hardworking entrepreneur and skilled problem-solver, Michael built and operated several businesses, including Seve's Tap in St. Charles and spent many years in the maintenance field, where he was known for being able to fix almost anything. A graduate of Marmion High School, Class of 1969, and Peru State College, Michael enjoyed fishing and playing cribbage in his spare time. He was devoted to his family and shared 46 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Merilee. He was a loving father to Annie (Severson) Mares and a proud grandfather to Zeke Mares. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Agnus Severson and Oscar Severson, and his brother, Fred Severson. He will be deeply missed.
