Raymond M. Dieter
Born: January 8, 1940 in West Chicago, IL
Died: August 30, 2021 in Milwaukee, WI
On Monday, August 30, 2021, Raymond M. Dieter, formerly of St. Charles, IL, died peacefully with family by his side at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Ray was born on January 8, 1940, in West Chicago, IL to Edwin and Clara (Schweisthal) Dieter. He graduated from West Chicago Community High School in 1957 and served in the United States Army stationed in South Korea. Upon returning to the States, Ray met and married Hye-Ja (Kim) Dieter, settled in St. Charles, and raised four children: Kimberly, Matthew, Michael and Kevin.
For over 33 years, Ray worked as a route salesman for Coca-Cola in St. Charles. His dedication to the company, hard work, and humor garnered him numerous sales awards and the admiration and respect of his many coworkers and customers over the years. In addition to being a loyal employee, Ray was also a devoted husband and father. For many years, Ray could be seen coaching his childrens' soccer and baseball teams, oftentimes coming straight from work in his Coca-Cola uniform. Ray was the type of coach players loved, parents appreciated, and referees and umpires feared. Furthermore, Ray and his family were parishioners at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in St. Charles.
In those rare moments of free time, Ray could be found fishing or as he would say, "drowning worms" at some nearby lake. Frequently, Ray would take his family camping and fishing at Shady Trails Campground in Baraboo, WI.
In 1990, his wife of nearly 25 years, Hye-Ja, lost her battle to cancer. Several years later in 1993, Ray married Kathleen (Kengott) Dieter. Together, they enjoyed their time traveling between Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Lauderdale Lakes, WI, and Florida.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Clara; wife Hye-Ja; brother Alan Dieter; and sisters Jean Assell, Shirley Wiesneth and Betty Lou Ludwig.
He is survived by his wife Kathie (Kengott) Dieter; children Kimberly Dieter, Matthew (Melissa) Dieter, Michael (Heidi) Dieter and Kevin (Soo Jin) Dieter. Other surviving family members include John (Jaime) Swain and Shawn (Brendan) Hogan; brother Michael (Connie) Dieter; sisters Patsy (Wayne) Meisenholder, Delores (Jim) Ludwig, Rita (Bob) Klavon and Sue (John) Kirkton; 14 grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in Ray's memory can be made out to the Morales Family Fund. Checks can be made out to Kathie Dieter and sent to W5229 Surfwood Dr 104-16 Elkhorn, WI 53121.

I Just found out about Ray. So sad, he was a great guy. we rode on the Coca Cola truck for 8 years together. Those were my best years working for the company. We had a lot of fun together. Just a great guy. My deepest condolences to The Dieter families.

My condolences to your entire family. I have many fond memories of the time when Kim welcomed my guys into your home and she babysat for them. Your parents made them feel like part of the family. I hope you are comforted by wonderful memories!
