Carol June Kuehn was born on June 18, 1937 in Minden to Willis and Elsie (Latter) Bloomfield. She grew up on the family farm northeast of Minden and completed her elementary school years at Rural School District #8. Carol graduated from Minden High School with the class of 1956. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles M. "Chuck" Kuehn on June 17, 1956 at the First Christian Church in Minden. Together they lived and farmed northeast of Minden. She loved the out-of-doors and enjoyed working beside her husband in the many farm activities.

She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church, where she willingly served as Elder, Sunday School Teacher, and Administrative Board Chairperson. She was an active member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. Carol served her community as a leader in several organizations, and was elected to serve on the Farm Service Agency County Committee for 12 years. Volunteering was important to her, having been a Bethany Home volunteer for over 45 years. Carol was a charter member of the Liberty Belles Extension-Friendship club for over 50 years and loved those long-lasting friendships.

Carol enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a life long learner and doer who embraced new projects. Her hobbies included reading, crafting, needlework, gardening, and caring for her chickens and many beloved pets. Above all she cherished spending time with her family and friends. Spending time with her grandchildren were life's greatest joys.

Those who know Carol will remember her for her kindness and deep rooted faith. Her unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Chuck of 69 years; daughter, Laura Norman and her husband, Jeff of Kearney; four grandchildren, Michael (Jaime) Kuehn, Amanda Kuehn, Trevor (Claire) Kuehn, and Jacob Kuehn; six great-grandchildren, Cadence, Avery, Lincoln, Riley, Cooper, and Henry; two sisters, Merna Carlin of Burlington, Colo. and Alice Bates and her husband, Don, of Kearney; brother, Gene Bloomfield and his wife, Dorrene of Minden; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rick Kuehn; parents; sister-in-law, Marjorie Bloomfield; sister, Barbara Anderson; brothers-in-law, Dan Untiedt and Lewis Carlin.
