Glen Neal Nichols
Glen Neal Nichols, 83 of Miller passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Miller Christian Church in Miller, NE. Inurnment will follow at Armada Cemetery near Miller, NE with military honors provided by the Miller American Legion Post #351 in conjunction with the Nebraska National Guard Funeral Honors Team.
Memorials are suggested to the Miller Christian Church or to the Miller Fire Department. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services.
Glen was born October 19, 1940, in Kearney, Nebraska to Theodore and Daisy (Runyon) Nichols. He was raised in Miller, NE and attended Sumner High School. Glen proudly served in the U.S. Army from November of 1963 until his honorable discharge in August of 1965. Glen was a lifelong resident of Miller, NE where he farmed and ranched for many years. He was also employed by the Village of Miller for 20 years.
Glen was a member of the Miller Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mike Nichols of Elm Creek, Julie (Jeff) Sherwood of Oxford, Troy (Heather) Nichols of Broken Bow and Austin Nichols of Miller; grandchildren, Cody, Alecia, Colt, Wyatt, Xander, Faith, Bladen, and Jayden; 9 great grandchildren; 7 siblings; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers and sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Nichols.
