Harriet Mae Wiemers, 88, of Kearney, Neb. passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.

She requested no funeral or visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Cremation services are entrusted to O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services.

She was born on January 4, 1937, in Gandy, Neb. to Roger and Delberta Macomber. Harriet grew up in small towns in the Kearney area. She received her education from Kearney Senior High School. On December 23, 1953, she was united in marriage to Orville Wiemers. The couple primarily lived in Kearney, Neb., but had also lived in Albany, Ore. To this union three children were born: Canda, Chris and Cara. Orville passed away in 2015. In her adult years, Harriet had worked as a homemaker while the children were growing up and for a time at Four Star Mobile Homes as an interior decorator. She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved to garden and do yardwork and was an incredibly talented seamstress, quilter, crafter and cook.

Survivors include her daughter, Canda Dantzer of Kearney; son, Chris Wiemers and wife, Judy, of Elm Creek; daughter, Cara Wieduwilt and husband, John, of Elm Creek; three grandchildren, Michael Wieduwilt, Nicole Weitjes, and Seth Wieduwilt; four great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (Judy) Macomber of Kentucky; and her sister, Lucille (Charlie) Bauer of Wisconsin. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville Wiemers; sister, Donna Wilson; and her great-grandchild, Ava May Wieduwilt.
