Larry A. Biester
Larry A. Biester, 78, of Geneva, died December 4, 2023, in the Fairview Manor in Fairmont after battling the effects of a stroke. Larry was born on April 7, 1945, in Geneva to Alvin Christian & Clara Anna (Jansen) Biester and was raised on the family farm where he lived until his health forced him to move.
Grandpa made sure to not miss any game or activity his grandkids were in. He put many, many miles on their vehicle. As if his grandkids didn't keep him busy enough, he and Maradeth were season ticket holders for the Tri City Storm. There wasn't a lot that slowed these two down.
Larry suffered a stroke at the end of July of 2023. He fought extremely hard with his battles as he was instilled in his kids and grandkids "Biesters never give up". He tried with all his might, but the good lord had said it was time for him to come home.
His legacy will live on through his kids, grandkids, and great grand kids.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Maradeth Biester; daughter Michelle (Rick) Reinsch of Kearney, NE with grandchildren Mannie (Shauna) Reinsch and great granddaughters Merritt and Navy Reinsch; daughter Lorrie (fiancé, Kevin Steinle) of Russell, KS with grandchildren Matthew (Megan) Yank, Michael (Kaylee) Reinsch, and great granddaughter Olivia Reinsch, Caressa (Troy) Peterson with great grandchildren Jace and Sophie Peterson and Kellen Reinsch; Todd (Chantel) Biester of Lincoln, NE with grandchildren Madeline (Kacey) Christiansen with great grandson Jett Christiansen, Chloe (fiancé, Johnny Drozda) Biester, Christian (Kaitlyn) Biester with great granddaughter Blakely Biester, and Harrison Biester; sisters Anita Williams, Patti Kirkwood; brothers-in-law Leon Wiese, Tom Chapman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Sharon Wiese, Jo Ann Chapman, and granddaughter Paris Kindera Yank.
Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 am Friday, December 15, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, 434 N 16th St, Geneva, NE. Inurnment in Geneva Public Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be divided among his favorite charities. Condolences: www.farmerandsonfuneralhome.com.
