Leona Kjar Obituary
LEXINGTON - Leona K. "Lea" Kjar, 92, of Lexington died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at WEL-Life at Plum Creek in Lexington.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with the Rev. Neal Nollette officiating. Burial will be at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Lexington.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday with a wake service at 8 p.m., all at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Indianola to John C. and Mary (Weskamp) Gillen.
On Sept. 6, 1945, she married Carl J. Kjar in Denver. He died Aug. 7, 1999.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth of Lexington and Dean of Wood River; daughters, Sherry Christensen of Clifton, Colo., Jan Jacquot of Loveland, Colo., and Kathy Hofferber of Lexington; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
