Linda K. Brown, 73, of Kearney passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.

A celebration of life will be held on October 30th at 4:30 p.m. at the Kearney Eagles Club. Please come join us for some food and memories.

Linda was born on May 29, 1952, in Kearney, NE, to Galen and Vernadean (Snyder) Tatum. She was raised in North Platte, NE, and later moved back to Kearney, where her first child, Micheal Shawn, was born on December 29, 1971. Shortly after, she was joined in marriage to Donald Brown on October 12, 1974. To this union, two daughters were born: Melissa and Tammy. The family made their home in Kearney, where Linda worked for 45 years as a C.N.A. at Mother Hull Home.

Linda enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, boating, and soaking up the sun with a cold beer and Billy Joel Royal on the radio. Linda also enjoyed bowling in leagues for many years. Linda loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Martin and kids, Kysia and Junior, Jason, Karissa, and Liam; daughter, Tammy and Randy Martin and their kids, Rylee, Chloe, and Natalee; two great-grandkids, Delilah and Mateo; sister, Cheryl and Bobby; brother, Rick and Kathy; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her son, Michael Shawn; nephews, Terry and Joey; grandson, Jordon; both parents; husband, Donald Brown; brothers, Terry, Lance, Gary, and Delbert; and sister, Gail and her husband, Bob, and their son Frank; and sister, Robin.
