Lois Wiens Obituary
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Kearney First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Fowler officiating. The service will be livestreamed at the church's website, https://www.kearneyfirstumc.org/watch-online for those who are not able to attend.
Interment will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Kearney Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. All those attending the visitation and or services are required to wear a mask.
Memorials are suggested to Compass Nebraska, Kearney First United Methodist Church or Kearney Area Habitat for Humanity.

Please accept our deepest condolences. She was the sweetest woman with the most beautiful smile and dimples...something to be envied. Your deep affection towards others was always apparent. It was obvious to all how you both adore your girls and grandchildren. We are so saddened at her loss. God bless and keep all of you during this very difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the family. Lois was my 4th grade teacher at Glenwood over 25 years ago. She was sweet and caring and when I was going through a tough time in grade school she always stopped me to make sure I was ok. We came out for one of the pumpkin patches at the cabin and we were able to reconnect. She would text me and check on my family from time to time. Also, she loved to share about her family and all the events going on. She was so proud of all her family. I will miss messages from her. My prayers are with the family as you go through this tough time. She has made an impact on me and many more. Photo attached was taken in 2016.

We are so very sorry for your loss, Mel and all the family. I so much enjoyed visiting with Lois at our Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority Teacher meetings. Mel, you and Lois have raised a wonderful family.
