KEARNEY - Marie Jean Chromy, age 82, of Kearney, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney. Father Joe Hannappel will celebrate and burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Jean was a second mother to me during my years of Junior and Senior High School at Sidney St Patrick´s. She was a wonderful person who will always be remembered fondly. My deepest condolences to her entire family in this difficult time.

I am so sorry to read this. I haven´t known your Mother very long but have had the privilege to work for her. I had recently been helping her clean her house. She told me every time I was there that she believed God put me in her life to help her get organized. I am leaving on Vacation tomorrow so won´t be able to give my condolences face to face but, wanted you to know how sorry I am. I will keep you in my prayers. Robin Crowley
