Patricia Eastep Obituary

Patricia LeAnn Eastep

October 30, 1945 - March 29, 2025

Mom was born on October 30, 1945, in Kearney, Nebraska and died on March 29, 2025, in North Ogden, Utah. She was the third daughter born to Adelbert and Clara (Susie) Meyer and grew up on a farm 5 miles outside Holdrege, Nebraska.

It was when she went away to college that she met a handsome Air Force boy, Lt. Col (Ret.) Gary and Diane Eastep, currently of Gig Harbor, Washington. They were married in 1967 and raised two children, Christopher Eastep of Walla Walla, Washington and LeAnn Jardine of Taylorsville, Utah before they divorced in 2000. They raised their family mostly in Layton, Utah while dad was in the Air Force stationed at HAFB. We were stationed in Montana, California and Utah and made many good friends along the way.

Mom is survived by Jon Gessell, her partner of 20 years. Her steadfast companion Bernie, Chris, his wife Cami and their children Lander and Liam. LeAnn and Michael and their children McKinna and Max. Her sisters Faye (Dean) Anderson of Holdrege, Nebraska, and Marlys (Arden) Sinsel of Minden, Nebraska. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Dean Anderson.

In this life we're lucky to have those who we call our friends. In the last days of her life, it was so very sweet to see who you were. Thank you for loving our mom! Mom's wishes were to be cremated and taken back to Nebraska. There will be a service at a later date.
