A Funeral Service for Patricia K. Scoville be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10 a.m., at the Holdrege Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Sarah Fisher, officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., at the Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, Nebraska.
Patricia Karlene Scoville, 88 years of age, of Holdrege, died on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege. She was born March 6, 1937 in Kearney, Nebraska, the fourth of seven children, to Roy A. and Leona (Everson) Dyer. She attended Victory Hill country grade school in rural Sumner, Nebraska and graduated from Sumner High School, with the class of 1954. Pat then pursued higher education classes at Commercial Extension Business College. She then worked as the office clerk at Nebraska Inspection Bureau from 1954 until 1956.
On May 27, 1956, she was married to Lewis "Keith" Scoville in Sumner. Pat was employed at Carpenter Paper Company in Lincoln, Nebraska, from 1956-1958. After the birth of their two children, Cheryl and Paul, the family made their home in Maxwell, Iowa, where Pat was employed at the State Bank. After 22 years, she retired as Vice President of the bank in 1994.
In 2001, Keith and Pat relocated to Holdrege. Pat was a gifted quilter and also enjoyed genealogy. Pat was a member of the Holdrege Methodist Church and the Nebraska Prairie Quilting Guild.
Besides her parents, Pat was preceded in death by all five of her brothers: James Dyer; Larry Dyer; Richard "Dick" Dyer; Wayne Dyer; and Vernon Dyer; and one sister in infancy.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her husband of 69 years, Keith Scoville of Holdrege; her daughter, Cheryl Scoville of Statesville, North Carolina; her son, Paul Scoville and his wife, Jeaneva, of Los Fresnos, Texas; six grandchildren: Brianna Setzer and her husband, Stuart; Ricki Ann (Scoville) Laws and her husband, Ethan; Jeri Michelle (Scoville) Diesing and her husband, Thomas; Roper Scoville and his wife, Jessica; Nicholas Scoville and his wife, Andri; and Maro Cruz; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Donna Dyer of Sana Anna, California; and Janice Dyer of Grand Island, Nebraska; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m., with the family greeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
