Paul D. Jorgensen was born on January 25, 1956 in Kearney, NE to Dwaine and Betty Jorgensen. He graduated from Kearney High School in 1974. Paul married Robyn Reed in 1976, and they shared three children: Joshua, Maribeth and William. Paul lived in Kearney, NE his entire life and worked at Eaton for 40+ years.
Paul had a passion for rebuilding cars and began exploring his mechanical curiosity at a young age in his father's shop. That passion continued throughout his life and he loved to tinker in his shop, teaching his children the same skills. He rebuilt his son Joshua's first car with him (some of those reading this might remember this car). Another love for Paul was sports. He loved watching, coaching and playing sports with his children and grandchildren. Paul spent hours in the backyard throwing pitches or passes to Joshua and William, and playing basketball in the driveway with Maribeth. Paul was the definition of hard work. One of his guiding purposes in life was to work extremely hard to ensure his children would prosper and experience a life greater than his own. As many of you have messaged to his children and family, Paul was a blessing and known for his kindness. His gentle presence, acceptance of others, giving heart, encouragement toward others and smiling face made him the man we all knew. The family appreciates that others felt the same way about him as they did. We are all better for knowing him, and his passing leaves a hole in our lives.
Paul is survived by his son, Joshua (Amie) Jorgensen of Kearney, NE; daughter Maribeth (Jennifer) Jorgensen of Huntsville, TX; son William Jorgensen of Kearney, NE; brother Sam (Diane) Jorgensen of Omaha, NE; mother Betty Jorgensen of Kearney, NE; grandchildren, Spencer, Chandler, Estelle, and Finnegan Jorgensen of Kearney, NE; niece Mandy (Justin) Queen and her children of Ashland, NE; niece, Abby (Jake) Glair and her children of Omaha, NE; as well as many important and cherished friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Dwaine Jorgensen.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. My memory of Paul at work was that he always had a smile on his face and was one of the most easy-going people I have ever known.
