Sandy Anderson Obituary
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Friday at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Rev. Dean Hanson officiating.
Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
A visitation will be from 12-7 p.m. today, with family greeting 6-7 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Sandra "Sandy" Elaine Anderson was born Sept. 18, 1940, in Broken Bow to G. Leland "Boots" and Kathryn (Johnson) McCaslin.
On Aug. 30, 1959, Sandy married Donald "Don" R. Anderson.
Survivors include her husband Don of Broken Bow; children, Ron Anderson of Omaha, Angie Anderson of Broken Bow, Brett Anderson of Holdrege, and Dave Anderson of Broken Bow; brothers, Harold McCaslin of Broken Bow, and Don McCaslin of Kansas City, Kansas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

What a blessing Sandy was to so many cancer survivors. Taking care of their post op needs so graciously, so kind and unobtrusive. Mom called her angel. God bless the family that supported these endeavors.

Don and family, Our sympathy to you all as you grieve the loss of your wife and mother. I considered her a classy lady, even as a young girl. I have lots of fond memories of her from birthday parties and our rural school activities. We're praying for you and asking God to be your comfort.

I knew Sandy through my mom, Pauline Morse. They became friends when I was quite small and she was always a vibrant, bubbly person to be around. She once called our house and I answered the phone. To be funny I hollered across that house that the Jolly Green Giant was calling and she overheard it (even then I had a voice that could project.) This delighted her endlessly and ever after she referred to herself as such any time I interacted with her. She was a great lady and a great friend. I will miss her.
