Terry Michael Mostek was born on April 13, 1956, at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Loup City, to Melvin and Ellen (Woitalewicz) Mostek.
He went to Sherman County country school and then attended Loup City Public School. In his junior year of high school, he went to the Job Corp where he obtained his GED and where he learned his welding skills. He then went to work at Chief with his dad.
He later worked for Sherman County Roads Department and gained the reputation by many farmers as the best motor grader operator they had ever seen.
He also did carpenter work with his cousin, Andy Mostek, and then worked at Boelus Agricultural Services until his retirement, at which time he then would drive trucks for OP Express and a few farmers at harvest time.
He was united in marriage to Janelle Dzingle on April 17, 1982, at Loup City. The couple made their home their entire married life in Ashton. They were blessed with two children, Brian and Britney, whom he loved dearly.
He was a man of faith and was prepared to meet his Maker. He enjoyed watching Christian television shows. He was also intrigued with antique tractors and equipment. He and his brother-in-law would take a trip or two to enjoy the scenery along the way to antique shows.
He liked to grow his own garden and enjoyed the results of the food it produced. He was quite the thinker and could make things of whatever he collected from Junk Jaunts and what others may have thrown away and thought of as junk.
He enjoyed his visits with his mom and liked to take little road trips with his wife, Janelle and granddaughters, Athena and Lydia.
He treasured the moments with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Janelle Mostek of Ashton; son, Brian Mostek and his wife Jessie of Kearney; daughter, Britney Mostek of Loup City; he loved his five grandchildren, Athena Jackson, Lydia Tedford, Aubrey, Avery and Reed Mostek; his mother, Ellen Mostek of St. Paul; siblings and spouses, Sharon Mostek of Ashton, Paulette and Curtis Fogg of Central City, Sharon and Grant Franckowiak of Loup City, Barbara and Rich Glines of Central City, Lawrence and Kathleen Mostek of Loup City, Trish And Mark Hill of Arcadia, Garrett and Dora Mostek of Wood River, Chuck Mostek of Loup City, Janice and Alfred Hurt of Loup City, Ron Mostek of Stockham and Sheryl Curlo of Ashton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin M. Mostek; brothers, Vernon Mostek, Kenneth Mostek and infant brother, Joseph Mostek; sister, Jessica Mostek; and sister-in-law, Patty Mostek.
