Wendall L. Walburn

May 1, 1963 - October 6, 2025

Wendall L. Walburn, 62 of Kearney, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at his home in Kearney.

A celebration of life will be held 12:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Kearney American Legion Club.

Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services.

Wendall was born May 1, 1963, in Hill City, KS, to Virgil and Janice (Kinney) Walburn. He was a longtime self-employed flooring installer who was contracted through Isam Arram, CMH and other business in the area.

Wendall was an avid Husker football fan, and he enjoyed riding his bike, playing keno, and listening to music. His prides and joys were his dog, Angus, his family, friends and his competition orange Barracuda.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Janice Killough; and significant other, Delmar Nelson of Kearney; sisters, Sandy Jiles and Tammy Cervantes, both of Kearney; nieces, Sasha Suzuki and Tanya Lopez; great-nieces and great-nephews, Erin, Teegan, Manny and Mikee all of Kearney.

Wendall was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Walburn Jr.; and his stepmother, Lucille Walburn.
