Teresa Ann Kyte

Teresa A. Kyte, 64, of Elk Point, South Dakota passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8th, 2023 at Mercy One Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa with her family by her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point with Fr. Kevin Doyle officiating. Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2023 with a wake service at 7 p.m., all at the church.
Teresa was born on October 7, 1959, in Vermillion, South Dakota, to James and Janice (Brunick) Guillaume. She worked at Aladdin in Elk Point until her retirement in 2007. Teresa cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren, and summer vacations at Platte, South Dakota, when she wasn't traveling to visit relatives.
Teresa married Gerald (Jerry) Kyte on June 4, 1982. Together, they had three beautiful children, Travis, Emily, and Justin. They were the most important part of her life.
Teresa loved being a grandmother to Addison, Everley, Jaxon, Kynlee, Kora, and Tucker Kyte. She treated everyone she encountered as if she already knew them.
Survivors are her husband, Gerald of Elk Point, her beloved children, Travis (Nicolette) Kyte of Katy, TX, Emily Kyte (Doug Leiber) of San Diego, CA, and Justin (Amanda) Kyte of Akron, IA; 6 grandchildren; three sisters, Kimberly Kjose, Sandy Guillaume and Mary Staum; one brother, Dan (Karin) Guillaume; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Kyte, Tom (Karen) Kyte, Mike Kyte, Joe (Sandy) Kyte, Jim (Matt) Kyte, Ed (Joey) Kyte, Rita Kyte, John Kyte, and Bruce Waage, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Tuck and Betty Kyte; sisters-in-law, Waneta Kyte, RuthAnn Kyte, and Charlie Waage; niece, Cally Jo Kyte; nephew, Lane Kyte.
