Eleanor J. Kleinprinz, 87, of Sandwich, IL passed away on January 24, 2024. Eleanor was born on September 18, 1936 in Sandwich, IL to Aubrey and Celestine (Rohrer) Clapper. She married George Kleinprinz at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on May 25, 1957.
Our family lost our Leader, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother yesterday. She was a grandma to kids that weren't even hers. Anybody who knew Eleanor Jane knew she was the queen of garage sales! She loved finding a bargain. All of us received her treasures that she found. She didn't know a stranger. She was friends to anyone she came in contact with. Jordan, Grandma is on her way to you to drive your guys red truck in heaven! I will miss you every single day for the rest of my life, I love you mom!
Eleanor is survived by children, George (Vicky Mills) Kleinprinz, Gina (Brad Stemmet) Cain, Geri (Paul Anderson) Kleinprinz and Greg (Dana) Kleinprinz; Grandchildren, Zach (Pam) Kleinprinz, Brooke Kleinprinz, Dylan Perkins, Joshua (Angela) Cain, Ryanne (Brian) Kurtouich, Karin Maher, Josie (Jeremy) Blom, Teagan (Joshua) Stohr, Noah Cain, Dylan Cain, Tyrone Borden, Iyona Kleinprinz, Shannon Kleinprinz, Trevor Kleinprinz, Brody Kleinprinz and Riley Kleinprinz; As well as 24 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George; Parents, Aubrey and Celestine; Mother-in-law, Anolda Kleinprinz; Brothers, Robert, Dean, Donald and David Lee; Sisters, Kathryn and Dorothy; Son-in-law, Michael Cain; And Granddaughter, Jordan Kleinprinz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the Sandwich Library.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 340 W. Arnold St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral mass will be held immediately afterwards at 11:00 A.M. with a committal service to follow out to St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Sandwich.
