While in collage Jack and I had a mutual friend Peggy Vessels. Peggy told me a story about Jack way back in our collage days and it's still vivid to me today. Jack was taking a teachers education class and he had to explain -momentum- to to a group of kids. Momentum on the surface comes off pretty dry, it needed more. It needed a little humor. That was right up Jacks alley....his wheelhouse. So standing before this group of kids, he said (basically) let me explain momentum. He took a few large, quick steps. Then tilting to one side, bouncing on one foot, moving across the room, flailing his arms in dramatic fashion, straining to keep his balance, eyes large and panicked, he finally came to rest at the other in of the room. Then very calmly he said....."that's momentum". That to me was typical Jack, loving the moment, loving a laugh, loving life. I can only imagine his drivers education class! We will miss him dearly. My prayers go out to all his family.

I first met Jack in Junior High, and remember him as a fun, energetic kid! We had lost touch until the past several years on Facebook. He always had a kind word, great sense of humor and loved our country. I already miss seeing his posts, he was one of the good guys. I pray for his loved ones, for healing and comfort. God bless!
