Judy K. Doppelhammer, 79, of Yorkville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 10, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Judy was born August 18, 1946 in Kirksville, Missouri, daughter of Robert and Luella (Rickett) Eddy. She was employed as a personal banker for 20-plus years, working at several banks and spending most of her career at Heartland Bank. Judy enjoyed watching TV game shows, bowling, shopping, and plays at Drury Lane Theater with her husband Jim. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Judy is survived by four daughters, Traci (Larry) Lappe, Jamie (Eric) Edwards, Tiffany (Richard ) Fox and Jaclyn (Brian) Crest; three sons, John (Julia), Joel (Jesse) and Jeffrey; 16 grandchildren, Katie, Cory, Madison, Andrew, William, Miranda, Jack, Maya, Noah, A.J., Ella, Eli, Thomas, Ivy, Valerie and Zachary; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Judy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Jim; her parents; a sister, Pat Camerier; a son-in-law, Cory Griffin; and a grandson, Matthew Lappe.
Family will be receiving guests Thursday November 20, 2025 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway in Montgomery. Funeral services will be held Friday November 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 IL. 47 in Yorkville, with Pastor Matt Conrad officiating.
