Arthur G. Brennan
1930 - 2017
Arthur G. Brennan, 87, of Pleasant Prairie, found peace and quiet on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1930, to the late Lawrence O. and Elizabeth G. (Boyle) Brennan in Springfield, Mass. He was educated in the schools of Springfield.
Arthur served in the Massachusetts Militia during WWII. Arthur entered the US Navy in early 1951 and served as an Electronics Technician on a destroyer during the Korean War.
On Aug. 29, 1953, he married Germaine Hesprich in Lomira, Wis.
Arthur "Red" worked at AMC/Chrysler for many years and was a member of UAW Local #72. Arthur was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. He loved gardening, caring for his unique trees and flowers and traveling with family to visit national parks and far away relatives.
Arthur was a loving, caring and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, son, brother, brother-in-law and a good friend. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Germaine; his children, Cynthia (Terry) Christiansen, Thomas Brennan, Raymond (Jody) Brennan, Suzanne (Doug) Blechinger, Elizabeth (David) Lee, Patrick (Rhonda) Brennan, Edward (Joanna) Brennan, Debora (Tom) Sielski; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Hester "Sue" Mazzotti; sisters-in-law, Rita Grusnick, Dorothy Becker, Louise Held; brothers-in-law, Francis Hesprich, Tony Hesprich; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, Larry, John "Jack" and Harry; a brother-in-law, Raymond Hesprich; and sisters-in-law, Catherine Hemmerich and Joan Krofta.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (2020 – 91st St.). Interment with Military Honors will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial donations may be made to the
American Cancer Society, Autism Society of Wisconsin or the Lyme Disease Association.
