Benancio F. Reyes, Jr.

Benancio F. Reyes, Jr. 71, of Kenosha went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Benancio was born June 2, 1949 in Natalia, TX to the late Benancio Sr. and Petra Reyes of Natalia, TX. He graduated high school in 1967 from Natalia. In 1968 he met his soon to be wife Marta G. Reyes and married on January 16, 1969 in Pearsall, TX. After a few months of being married, he was drafted by the U.S. Army. He did his training in St. Louis, MO, then was stationed in Fort Louis, WA and was sent to fight for our country in the Korean War.

Benancio loved fishing, hunting, listening to Spanish/Country music and boy did he love his little Ford Ranger. That was his baby! He was a big joker. He loved to make people laugh. It was never a dull moment when he was around. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Benancio was famous for his peach cobbler. Every holiday it was a must and never gave his recipe away. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, he retired from the local 139 operating engineers, and how he loved to dance.

Benancio is survived by his children: Melissa Reyes, Paul Reyes, Jessica (Armando) Reyes-De La Rosa and Benancio (Pamela) Reyes III all of Kenosha; his 19 grandchildren and his 18 great grandchildren with one on the way; his sister Eleanor Reyes of San Antonio, TX; his brother Oscar Reyes of Natalia, TX; and his sister Martha (Ramon) Cordova of San Antonio, TX.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marta and a brother Jose Angel Reyes in infancy.

Funeral Services for Benancio will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. with Full Military Honors to follow at Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
