Christine Elizabeth Budzenski

1940 - 2016

Christine Elizabeth Budzenski, 75, of Ramona, Calif., passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016.

Born on Dec. 18, 1940, in Phillips, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Laurence and Clara Cork.

She was educated in Phillips, Wis., and as a teenager, moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where she met and married Phillip Budzenski; later divorcing. They moved to Kenosha in the early 1960's to raise a family while employed by the former American Motors Corporation.

Christine was an avid reader who loved to cook. She will be remembered most for all the wonderful foods she prepared for her family and for the various parties she catered throughout her life.

She is survived by her four children, Belinda (Dean) Dile of Bristol, Wis.; Eugene (Katie) Budzenski of Ramona, Calif.; Sheila (David) Gott of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; and Shelley (Richard) Nichols of Kenosha, Wis.; one brother, Robert "Sonny" Cork of New Berlin, Wis.; seven grandchildren, James, Heather, Thomas, Kato, Sumer, Trevor, and Lindsey; one nephew, Steven; and one niece, Kelli.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Clara Cork.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at the VFW Post 3783 in Ramona, Calif.
