Darlene Harris Obituary
1932 - 2018
Darlene J. (Erickson) Harris, 85, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 26, 1932, in Northville, S.D. to the late Arno J. Erickson and Gretchen E. Serfling. Darlene grew up and graduated from Central High School in Rapid City, S.D. She had relocated to Winthrop Harbor, Ill. and then to Kenosha, Wis.
Darlene was a homemaker and later employed with Maibeth Raper Real Estate as a local realtor for many years being a licensed Realtor in both Wis. and Ill. She will be remembered for her strong character, love of baking, growing beautiful flowers and caring for her yorkie named Max.
She will be sadly missed and remembered by her surviving three children, Susan (Mike) Wiygul, Don (Vicki) Scanlon and Tim (Jean) Harris; grandchildren Kristopher (Tracy) Wiygul, Elizabeth (Chris) Turner, Lorraine (Sam) Eddington, Jimmy (Yvonne) Scanlon, John Scanlon, Cheri (Rick) Esperon, Allison (Brian) Nodes, Mathew Harris (fiancé Briana Varnes), Matt and Jessica Werbie; and several great grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by one brother Arno H. (Karen) Erickson. She was preceded in death by her parents Arno and Gretchen Erickson and sister's Mable "Jean" O'Marah, Marvel "Murf" Cabe and Charlotte "Chod" Christiansen.
A Memorial Service honoring Darlene's life will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services, 8226 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, WI 53143. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811 60th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142 or online at www.safeharborhumanesociety.org
