Dennis A. Lura, age 70, of Kenosha passed away peacefully at his home on April 27, 2021. Dennis was born at St. Luke's Hospital in Racine on March 6, 1951 to Bloyd and Doris (Ortell) Lura. He attended Kenosha area schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. Dennis was a carpenter by trade as well as many other jobs. He also owned and operated his own business as a home inspector. In his free time, Dennis played softball for many local taverns and loved to join his friends on the golf course. He was full of life and always full of jokes and made everyone laugh. Dennis was always willing to help anyone in need. You knew if you called him, he would be there.

He was preceded in death by, his parents; his sister, Denise and two brothers-in-law, Shawn and Timothy.

Dennis is survived by two brothers: Wayne (Pat) Lura of LaCrosse and Jeffrey Lura of Florida; his sister, Linda Johnson of Kenosha; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In accordance with Dennis's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. He was loved by all and had countless friends. He will be sadly missed by everyone.

I knew Dennis for many years but hadn´t seen for a long while till recently. He was working for the city and I happen to notice him near st James park. I stopped and we talked quite a long time. I enjoyed that conversation so much. Lot of "old times" talk. He´ll be missed by many.

So sorry for your loss of Dennis. It was a pleasure to work with him for many many years. He always had us laughing at work daily and was constantly bringing in treats for everyone to enjoy.
