Erna Henry

1921 - 2015

Erna Henry, 94, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Linden Grove-Mukwanago.

Born on Feb. 13, 1921, in Daaden, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Emilie (Ebener) Meier. Moving to Kenosha as a young child in 1926, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.

Erna was employed as a stenographer with AMC/Chrysler Corp., retiring in 1986.

She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and was active with the Kenosha Senior Center up until 2007. Erna was a talented knitter, she enjoyed Kreul stitching, traveling in her retirement and playing cards, especially Pinochle.

Erna will be missed by her son, Dale (Karla) Henry; two grandsons, Matthew K. (Laura) and David P. (Sonja) Henry; and four great grandchildren, Allison, Jenna, Evan and Hana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Meier.

In accordance with Erna's wishes, private funeral services will be held. Interment will be held in Green Ridge Cemetery.
