Evelyn "Lynne" L. Stamm

1927 - 2021

Evelyn "Lynne" L. Stamm, 93, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie.

Born on December 2, 1927, in Wilmot, WI, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Hartman) Hasselman.

On November 23, 1946, she married Howard E. Stamm at St. Luke Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2008.

Lynne was a loyal and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was one of the first members of the church to work at the soup kitchen. She and her husband were avid gardeners. She canned over 100 quarts of tomatoes, many of which were used to make her Nesco roaster full of Spanish rice for the soup kitchen. Lynne sewed numerous quilts over the years for the Trinity Sewing Bees. She also was great at making cakes, she even made a few wedding cakes over the years including her daughter's. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends from church.

Surviving are her three children: John (Jackie) Stamm of Jonesborough, TN, Edward (Jane) Stamm of Janesville, WI and Terri (Richard) Goergen of Kenosha, WI; six grandchildren: Kelly (Chuck) Abramson of Katy, TX, Rebecca Stamm of Janesville, WI, Ben (Crystal) Stamm of Swansea, IL, Zachary Stamm of Janesville, WI, Annah (Thomas) Schneider of St. Paul, MN, Erin Stamm of Bayview, WI; two great grandchildren: Isabella and Carson Stamm; her sister, Edna Krueger of Kenosha, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Addison for the outstanding care that they provided their mother over the last few years.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (7104 – 39th Ave.) with Rev. Tom Smith officiating. The capacity of the church is limited to 50 people and all attendees must be wearing facial coverings. Burial will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to either Trinity Lutheran Church or the Shalom Center would be appreciated by the family.

She was the wonderful mother of my best friend Ed. She tolerated me involving her son in many childhood escapades. I will always remember her fondly. May she rest in peace.
