Isabelle Fox Obituary

Isabelle (Billie) Fox (Maison)

1929 - 2013

Billie Fox (Maison) joined the many who awaited her in heaven on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. Billie was born to Betty and Wes Maison on July 9, 1929. Billie grew up in Bismarck, N.D., moving to Wichita, Kans., during World War II and finally settled in Racine, Wis. In 1948 she graduated from Park High School. As a teenager she worked at a Soda Fountain in Kansas and at Jacobsons Clothing Store in Racine before taking on the job she was meant to have, being a mother. She met her husband Robert (Bob) at a dance, sweeping her off her feet while they polkaed and waltzed the night away, an activity they loved to do throughout their years together. They wed on a hotter than hell spring day June 11, 1949. They resided in the town of Brighton for 58 years, (1949-2007) where they raised their five children.

Surviving Billie are her five children, Corinne (Marcel) Bonetti, Clarice Gerou, Eugene (Faith) Fox, Dennis Fox, and Camille (Dennis) Gerou along with her 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Billie also leaves behind her 1 sibling Karen (Eugene) Dexter and her godchildren Kathy (McConnell) Gunderson, Tammy (Dexter) Henning, Debbie (Fox) Stables, Ronald Fox, and Nancy (Bartsch) Kushner as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob 18 years ago (died Nov. 4, 1994) and her parents.

After losing Bob, Billie decided to hang up her dandelion digger and downsized to Oakdale Estates in Sturtevant. She enjoyed her senior years playing cards and bingo, loved listening to a good book on tape or watching Pride and Prejudice.

A private celebration of Billies life was held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Strang Funeral Home in Antioch IL with burial at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Brighton, WI. Please sign the online guest book for Billie at www.strangfh.com.
