Jill Christine (Hautala) Upton

1948 - 2015

Jill Christine (Hautala) Upton died unexpectedly in Baptist Hospital on Aug. 3, 2015, in Jacksonville, Fla., at the age of 67.

Jill was born on April 3, 1948, in Waukegan, Ill., to Hugo and Jeanette Hautala. She attended schools and graduated from Waukegan. She married Charles Upton on July 16, 1966. She was a licensed cosmetologist in her home, retiring in 2009. They lived in both Zion and Winthrop Harbor, Ill. Upon retiring they moved to St. Augustine, Fla.

Jill is survived by her husband Charles; her two sons, Patrick (Debra) Upton and Corey Upton, both of Kenosha; grandsons Brent (Amanda) Upton of Genoa City, Wis., and Brandon Upton of Kenosha; great granddaughter Jillian Upton of Genoa City; sisters, Judy Summers of St. Augustine, Fla., and Bruce (Linda) Guy of Jacksonville, Fla.; along with many nieces, nephews, and her dog Gracie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Michael Summers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Rd. (Hwy C), Kenosha (west of I94). The Upton family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Prayers and sympathies to Jill family. Jill was such an upbeat pleasant person. I was on facebook with Jill which was so fun. She will be missed by all.

Aunt Jill we miss you so much. I still hope to one day wakeup and this all be a dream. May you forever Rest in Peace and I hope you are catching with Nini, Papa, Uncle Mike, and Lisa. I love you so much and you made such an impact in my life and I know that I will be forever grateful for all the hugs, kisses, and toys in the left drawer of your table that was in your front room on Jethro growing up. I love you.
