John Higgins Obituary
February 13, 1952 - November 30, 2025
John P. Higgins, 73, of Kenosha, Wisc., passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at his home.
Born on February 13, 1952, in Beloit, Wisc., he was the son of John E. and Catherine (Beaudry) Higgins.
He graduated from St. Joseph High School and went on to further his education at St. Norbert's College and then went on to University of Madison Law School. He worked at Guttormsen for many years. He was also a member and trustee of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine; siblings, Mike (Carol) Higgins and Colleen Stancato; nieces and nephews, Donald, Daniel, and Elizabeth Stancato, Joseph (Sarah), Paul, and Erin Higgins; great-nieces and nephews, Max Stancato, Theodore, Charlotte and Harrison Higgins; and sister-in-law, Lori Higgins.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tom Higgins.
A visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m.
Entombment to follow in All Saints Mausoleum.

I am very sorry to learn of John´s passing. We were in law school together. He lived an honorable life and was always a friendly face. He will be missed. May God accept him home.

I worked with John for a number of years at the Law Firm that is now Guttormsen & Hartley, LLP. John was a Partner at the Firm for many years. I also knew John and members of his family outside of the office setting. He was an active member at St. Mary´s Catholic Church and I remember him attending Mass daily. I believe John is now in a better place. He will be fondly remembered by many. My condolences to the Higgins family.
