Larry Schultz Obituary
November 25, 1936 - November 20, 2025
Larry W. Schultz, 88, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital.
Born on November 25, 1936, to William and Selma (Carlson) Schultz, he was a graduate of Waukesha High School.
On July 21, 1962, he married Judith A. Owens. They were blessed with six children and 55 years of marriage.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church.
Larry was a loyal employee at AMC/Chrysler for 40-plus years.
He loved college sports and was a devoted Badgers fan. He enjoyed woodworking, especially building birdhouses, and spent countless hours fishing and boating. An outdoorsman at heart, he had a deep love for animals, and they seemed to love him right back. Birdwatching brought him peace, and he never missed a day of reading the Milwaukee Journal from cover to cover, along with Reader's Digest.
He treasured his kids and grandkids, proudly calling his family his greatest achievement. He talked about them all the time.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Schultz, Julie (John) Ciseski, Lori (Dan) Birkholz, Cindy (Mike) LaBelle, Russell (Erlyn) Schultz, and Michele (Ivan) Nielsen; grandchildren, Kylie Birkholz, Ryan Birkholz, Cody LaBelle, Brendan LaBelle, Logan Nielsen, Annika Nielsen and Hayden Schultz.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Schultz; and his siblings, Earl Schultz, Gloria Haessig, and Reed Schultz.
A visitation for Larry will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 p.m., at St. Mary's Lutheran Church, 2001 80th Street. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
