Marietta J. Permann
April 16, 1937 - Feb. 9, 2022
KENOSHA - Marietta J. Permann, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
Born on April 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Velma (Porter) Phillips. She attended local schools and achieved certification as a CNA from Gateway Technical College. As a CNA she was recognized in the Kenosha News as a caregiver in the community.
On July 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to Arthur Permann at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kenosha.
She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Marietta was employed with Society's Assets and Ruta's Therapeutic Massage for several years. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. Marietta enjoyed knitting and crocheting; but most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Bill) Williams of Union Grove, WI and her sister, Imogene "Ruth" Welch of Reno, NV; her brother, Robert Phillips of CA; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Terry) Henry, Michelle (James) Dawley, Stacy (Alexander) Wolf and Matthew (Emily) Williams and her great grandchildren, Sean VanSwol, Collin VanSwol, Justin VanSwol, Dylan Jockel, Andrew Wolf, Grant Wolf, Avery Wolf and Madeline Williams.
In addition to her parents, Marietta was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Permann; her son, Arthur L. Permann and her brother, George N. Phillips.
Funeral services and honors by the Wisconsin Nurses Honor Guard for Marietta will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Piasecki Funeral Home. The service and visitation may be viewed via livestream on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. on the following link facebook.com/PiaseckiFuneralHome/live/. You do not need Facebook to watch. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation for Marietta will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
