Steven A. Kollman

September 1, 1963 - December 23, 2019

Steven A. Kollman, age 56 of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Hospice Alliance, Inc./Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.

Born in Kenosha on September 1, 1963, he was the son of Ronald and Frances (Pomponi) Kollman. He was a 1981 graduate of Bradford High School and received his Associates Degree in Electronics from Gateway Technical College.

On October 1, 1994 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Mary Simpson. Steve's faith in God was first and foremost and could be seen through the way in which he lived his life. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Holy Rosary Choir. Steve was a devoted family man who was always generous with his time.

He was employed with GE Healthcare for 18 years and had worked at the Music Center for many years.

Steve had a passion for music and rocked out on the guitar. He was instrumental in starting the band Boys and Toys with his brother, Chris Kollman and friend, Jon Ianni. Steve welcomed many friends, fans and followers when he played lead guitar in the Class of '62urf Boys and The New Vinyls. He was the center of musical entertainment for all family events, especially on Christmas Eve.

Steve is survived by his wife, Mary Kollman and their children, Jonathan, Sarah and David Kollman; his mother, Frances Kollman; siblings, Chris Kollman, Ronda (Steve) DeAngelis and Cale Kollman; mother in law, Laverne Simpson; brothers in law, Pat Simpson and Paul (Patty) Simpson; aunt, Luigina Wasilevich; uncle, Joseph (Gilah) Pomponi and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Kollman.

Funeral Services honoring Steve's life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street, Kenosha. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. The last time I spoke to Steve I said "We receive life from God and then we return it back to Him." Steve returned a rich life back to God, with much gratitude and no small measure of suffering. The suffering is now of the past , the gratitude endures throughout eternity. Rest in Peace.
